Pre-Travel Photography Training
Dates: One day workshop, dates to be arranged
Workshop Fee: $175
OK, you are going on a trip, possibly a very expensive one like a cruise through the Mediterranean or a visit to Norway. Maybe you are only going someplace in the states. You have a camera but aren’t sure you really know how to use it. The pictures you take are not great. In some you lucked out and got a good shot while in others, the less said the better. Perhaps you have been thinking about using this trip to get a new digital camera. In that case, however, you really don’t know which one to get nor how to use it. Further, you wonder whether it will give you as good pictures as your film camera did, not that you got good pictures with that either.
The fact is that you want to come back from your trip with as many good pictures as possible as memories of the trip and to show to others. You don’t want to worry when on the trip about whether the pictures you are taking are good or not. You want to know then and there if they were good and if not how to fix them. Also you need to know what kinds of pictures to take so you have a well rounded story of your trip. And finally how should you deal with the pictures when you get them back.
This one day workshop is designed to help resolve the above problems and uncertainties and make you feel comfortable, confident, and knowledgeable on your trip. We will cover the fundamentals of taking a good picture as well as what types of pictures you might want to take. We will spend time on the camera and lenses, how it operates, and the controls that allow you to capture the images you want. Also we will cover how to prepare for the trip and what equipment you will need to take with you. Then finally we will discuss and show what options you have when you return as to processing your images, editing them, and presenting them. The net result is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed that this part of your vacation or trip is well in hand.
